Book now for the July concert in Heckmondwike – further dates to be announced soon!
‘A Celebration of British Music‘ is the title for this year’s new programme and the choir has been booked for its first concert with a second performance in the offing and just the date to finalise.
The confirmed concert will take place at 3pm on the afternoon of Sunday 3 July at the Holy Spirit Church in Heckmondwike (Cemetery Road, Heckmondwike WF16 9EB) in what will be a long-overdue performance. Twice in the past 18 months has Chordiality been booked to appear at the church, and sadly, due to Covid, both concerts had to be postponed.
The singers first performed for the Heckmondwike audience pre-pandemic in 2019 to much acclaim and a further concert was immediately arranged. At last, that concert is now going to take place.
Final arrangements are also being completed for another concert, which is being planned for May and a date will be announced in the near future. There is also the possibility of a late-summer performance as well. Again, the date and venue will be announced shortly.
The new programme is A Celebration of British Music and will feature popular favourites by some of the great British composers, both past and present. It follows on from a previous concert repertoire of American classics. Now, the Brits will be fighting back and never has there been a better time for it than during the celebration year to mark Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
To enjoy this new ‘Best of British’ programme in Heckmondwike, tickets, at just £10 including refreshments, can be reserved via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or through a member of the choir or direct from Holy Spirit on 01274 872984.
