Choir excels in Clifford – now on to Halifax

With a spring in their step, the singers will skip across West Yorkshire from one side to the other with praise ringing in their ears.

“Such a professional choir,” was the verdict of one member of the audience who attended the choir’s 9th June concert at St Edward’s Church in Clifford, near Boston Spa.

Chordiality will now take its new 2024 programme across the county to St Columba’s Church in Halifax (52 Highroad Well Lane, Pellon HX2 0QF) for its second concert of the month on Sunday 30 June at 3pm.

St Columba’s has been a venue for the choir on a number of occasions in the past and the singers are assured of a warm welcome and a good audience on the day.

Chordiality’s Music Director Peter Sherlock was delighted with the singer’s performance in Clifford.  “The choir’s singing, the lovely setting, the beautiful acoustic were all of the highest order,” said Peter.  “The church raised money towards its restoration fund and £100 was raised for our adopted charity, Bradford Metropolitan Food Bank.

“Musically, there were many special moments and the feedback has been excellent.  Better still, we have since been invited back to sing there again!”
