When one sings in a choir, you just occasionally overhear a comment in the audience. Last Sunday, at the First Martyrs Christmas Concert, as Chordiality finished the sublime setting of Lullaby by Karl Jenkins, I overheard an earthy northern voice quietly whisper, ‘That wa gud’. And he wasn’t wrong.

A ‘gud’ time was had by all, both audience and choir, and much money was raised for deserving charities.
A collection at First Martyrs was held for the choir’s current adopted charity, Bradford Nightstop, which raised £489.10.
Choir members opted-out of sending Christmas cards to one another in favour of a collection for the Bradford Soup Run and £172 was raised. And, at the choir’s first Christmas Concert, held at St Peter and Paul Church in Yeadon, a retiring collection raised valuable funds for the international charity Mary’s Meals.
As 2025 nears its conclusion, Chordiality would like to wish all its friends and followers a very merry Christmas and a peaceful and happy New Year.
Catch the choir in 2026!
