A fantastic concert \u2013 and prosecco and cream tea \u2013 awaits when Chordiality\u2019s singers serenade the audience at St Mary\u2019s and St Monica\u2019s Church, Cottingley \u2013 on Sunday 5 July at 3pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following a marvellous reception at its previous concert in Otley, the choir returns to home soil with its programme of works by contemporary composers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tickets for the Cottingley concert are just \u00a310 which includes prosecco and cream tea refreshments.<\/p>\n\n\n

St Vincent de Paul Society<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Proceeds from the summertime concert will support the excellent work of the Bingley and Cottingley St Vincent de Paul Society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Society\u2019s work focusses on tackling poverty and loneliness by visiting the sick, providing material assistance and hosting community and social events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Highlights of the choir\u2019s new programme include the dynamic Sogno Di Volare<\/em> by America composer Christopher Tin, Exsultate Jubilate<\/em> by Sir Karl Jenkins and The Gathering Tree<\/em> by award-winning English composer Rachel Portman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Popular favourites will also be making a return.  Folk song Wellerman<\/em> and popular spiritual Dry Bones<\/em> will join pop classic You\u2019re The Voice<\/em> alongside musical showstoppers Sit Down You\u2019re Rockin\u2019 The Boat<\/em> from Guys And Dolls<\/em> and power ballad Anthem<\/em> from Chess<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
