Last Sunday, at the First Martyrs Christmas Concert, as Chordiality finished the sublime setting of <em>Lullaby<\/em> by Karl Jenkins, I overheard an earthy northern voice quietly whisper, &#8216;That wa gud&#8217;.  And he wasn&#8217;t wrong.  <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"379\" height=\"159\" src=\"https:\/\/chordiality.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Bradford-Nightstop-logo.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2084\" style=\"aspect-ratio:2.383954154727794;width:275px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/chordiality.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Bradford-Nightstop-logo.jpg 379w, https:\/\/chordiality.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Bradford-Nightstop-logo-300x126.jpg 300w, https:\/\/chordiality.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Bradford-Nightstop-logo-24x10.jpg 24w, https:\/\/chordiality.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Bradford-Nightstop-logo-36x15.jpg 36w, https:\/\/chordiality.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Bradford-Nightstop-logo-48x20.jpg 48w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 379px) 100vw, 379px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>A &#8216;gud&#8217; time was had by all, both audience and choir, and much money was raised for deserving charities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A collection at First Martyrs was held for the choir&#8217;s current adopted charity,  Bradford Nightstop, which raised \u00a3489.10.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Choir members opted-out of sending Christmas cards to one another in favour of a collection for the Bradford Soup Run and \u00a3172 was raised.  And, at the choir&#8217;s first Christmas Concert, held at St Peter and Paul Church in Yeadon, a retiring collection raised valuable funds for the international charity Mary&#8217;s Meals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As 2025 nears its conclusion, Chordiality would like to wish all its friends and followers a very merry Christmas and a peaceful and happy New Year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Catch the choir in 2026!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When one sings in a choir, you just occasionally overhear a comment in the audience.
