Sunday 12 October at 3pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>St Barnabas\u2019 has not only a beautiful acoustic but is also the home of the 53-foot-long Heaton tapestry, created for the millennium as a timeline in 357 individual pieces telling the story of Heaton.&nbsp; The choir, with Rosie, made a recording of the piece back in the Covid lockdown which now appears on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=4H0-faGmD9Q\" title=\"\">Chordiality YouTube site<\/a>.&nbsp; It currently has over 9800 views.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some of the items from the July Cathedral concert to make it on to the St Barnabas\u2019 song list will be <em>The Heavens Are Telling<\/em> from Haydn\u2019s <em>The Creation<\/em>, Faur\u00e9\u2019s sublime <em>Cantique De Jean Racine<\/em>, Verdi\u2019s famous <em>Chorus Of The Hebrew Slaves<\/em> and the ever-popular gospel classic <em>Total Praise<\/em> by Richard Smallwood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Carl Orff\u2019s dramatic <em>O Fortuna<\/em> from his cantata <em>Carmina Burana<\/em> will make a welcome return to the programme as will Cornish folk song <em>Nothing Like Pilchards For Saving The Soul<\/em>, the hit song from the musical <em>Guys And Dolls<\/em>, <em>Sit Down You\u2019re Rocking The Boat<\/em>, and an adaptation by Mark Brymer of the Otis Redding hit <em>Sittin\u2019 On The Dock Of A Bay<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Admission to the concert is free of charge.&nbsp;
