Chordiality will be travelling far and wide for their two June concerts.  Supporters can hear the singers at venues in Clifford, North Yorkshire, and Halifax, West Yorkshire. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At each concert, a retiring collection will be held for the Bradford Metropolitan Food Bank, the choir\u2019s current adopted charity, whose volunteers work tirelessly to help the many vulnerable people in Bradford.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rehearsals have been going well as the singers put the finishing touches to a brand-new programme for 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n

With music for all tastes, Chordiality will hit the heights with tour-de-force performances of Haydn\u2019s Te Deum<\/em> and Carl Orff\u2019s O Fortuna<\/em> from his famous cantata Carmina Burana<\/em>.  No high or low will be missed and choral dexterity will abound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vocal beauty to sublime settings has become Chordiality\u2019s signature. This beauty will shine forth in Eric Whitacre\u2019s Covid inspired composition Sing Gently<\/em>, Ola Gjeilo\u2019s The Rose<\/em>, taken from Christina Rossetti\u2019s poem of the same name, and American Baptist minister Robert Lowery\u2019s famous How Can I Keep From Singing<\/em>, written in 1868 and based on the words of Psalm 96.  Chordiality will be singing an arrangement by Russell Robinson.<\/p>\n\n\n

The choir will also be offering a taster for their Bradford Cathedral 2025 Gala Concert<\/a> and will perform the Libera Me<\/em> from Faur\u00e9\u2019s famous Requiem in D minor<\/em> before launching into a bit of 80s rock, folksong and gospel.\u00a0 On the blocks will be Toto\u2019s Africa<\/em> (arranged by Roger Emerson), John Farnham\u2019s You\u2019re The Voice<\/em> (arranged by Timothy Allen) and The Rhythm of Life<\/em> from 60s musical Sweet Charity<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The singers will be raising the roof with one of the top ten gospel songs of all time, Richard Smallwood\u2019s Total Praise<\/em>, before whisking their audiences off to Cornwall, because there\u2019s Nothing Like Pilchards For Saving The Soul<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
