— 2023 dawns with much excitement amongst choir members at the prospect of celebrating what will be Chordiality\u2019s 30th anniversary year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As concerts start to be confirmed, the choir is pleased to announce that one of the highlights of its birthday year will be a spectacular Gala Concert at the Bradford Cathedral (Saturday 8 July at 7.30pm) when the singers will be accompanied by the National Festival Orchestra Strings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chordiality is pleased to announce that the specially-formed ensemble will be under the direction of the orchestral manager of the National Festival Orchestra, Sally Robinson.  Sally, who also leads the Bradford-based Lydian String Quartet, has worked with Chordiality on a number of occasions in the past and the forthcoming Cathedral concert already has the makings of a marvellous evening for all present. The concert will also raise funds for the choir\u2019s current adopted charity, the Bradford Baby Bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Year \u2013 new programme<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new year, a birthday year no less, and the choir has already started on a new programme to celebrate its birthday.  Confirmed bookings so far include an afternoon concert at St Joseph\u2019s Church in Huddersfield, on Sunday 23 April at 3pm, and the Bradford Cathedral Gala Concert at 7.30pm on Saturday 8 July.  Other bookings are starting to come through and will be added to the website when confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new programme will include pieces from Mozart\u2019s Requiem Mass<\/em>, Ola Gjeilo\u2019s The Ground<\/em>, Vivaldi\u2019s Magnificat<\/em> and Faure\u2019s beautiful Cantique de Jean Racine<\/em>.  The performance will also be complemented with popular choral favourites from the choir\u2019s repertoire over the years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
