Chordiality is delighted to announce that over the last 11 years, through proceeds received from its concerts, it has been able to donate over £20,000 to worthy causes.  This is alongside the monies raised when the choir has been singing at concerts in support of necessary and worthwhile local initiatives.

This year alone, in the three concerts so far, concert organisers have been the beneficiaries of over £4,469.00 through ticket sales and raffles.

Of this, £810 were the proceeds from the choir’s latest outing, in September, when the singers travelled to St Patrick’s Church in Huddersfield.

The concert at St Patrick’s was organised to raise funds for the major external and internal refurbishment works in preparation for the grade II listed building’s 200th anniversary in 2032, and it was a huge success.

The terrific acoustic, the excellent singing combined with a really attentive and appreciative audience carried the day.

“The feedback from members of the audience was extremely complimentary,” said Chordiality’s Music Director Peter Sherlock. “What will stay with me for a long time is the absolutely beautiful sound made by the choir.  A number of pieces simply resonated in the church with a precision and detail that exemplified the singers’ focus and delivery.  The choir truly revelled in St Patrick’s beautifully rich acoustic.”
